cjam93 Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 What would you use a bc in this ratio for other than crankbaits? Quote
CroakHunter Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 Heavy spinnerbait, big swimbaits, scrounger heads, heavy bladed jigs 2 Quote
Super User scaleface Posted April 13, 2019 Super User Posted April 13, 2019 That use to be considered high speed and will fish anything even buzzbaits . 4 Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 Just experiment and see what you like. You’re not going to hurt anything. 1 Quote
zell_pop1 Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 I like them for hollow belly swim baits, easy to overwork them on faster reels. Quote

Troy85 Posted April 15, 2019 Posted April 15, 2019 I use it for most types of swim baits. If I'm not actively paying attention to my retrieve speed, I tend to reel to fast for a swim-bait if I'm using a higher speed reel. I use the 5.4 to kind of force me to slow down. Quote
Fried Lemons Posted April 15, 2019 Posted April 15, 2019 Good for slow rolling baits on the bottom like spinnerbaits and big soft swimbaits. It's much easier than cranking a high speed reel for one turn every 5-10 seconds. 2 Quote
