I havent been to Nockamixion since I went back to work a few weeks ago. I would never have wished this on anyone but I did use the time i had to finally fish that place. I had to pinch myself when i was on the water because I never thought Id have  that kind of opportunity to fish Nockamixion during the prespawn with virtually no boat traffic.

I plan on doing a few night trips there when I get the chance.

I’m definitely down tone. I want to take it out a few times and make sure everything is in working order first. It’s been a few years since I’ve been on this boat

Started fishing Nock today at 530 and ended at 1...threw the Vatalion, Deps 250, a Hudd and briefly threw a frog in the pads.  Caught 1 tiny bass on the Vatalion, had a strike on the Deps and missed 2 frog fish.  Overall I was surprised how dirty the water was...maybe a foot of visibility.  Very juicy lake that was extremely busy.

Hitting nockamixon in the morning...thinking I am going to throw large baits for 8 hours.

I’ll be there in the AM tomorrow. But I’ll be throwing the opposite. Last weekend after all the rain on Saturday afternoon I thought I had it figured out what it was gonna take for Sunday. 8-9 runts. Taking a bit different approach this time.

Good luck - I can't imagine the lake traffic tomorrow.   It was absolutely packed today!!!

I won’t be out real late, but I’ll be out before sun up. Last weekend the water quality was no prize with those heavy rains Saturday. And some of the better stretches of grass have carp in them now. I’m not much for fishing around carp but others thing it has no effect on bass. I think it does.

This year it will be interesting with COVID and unemployment. More people are fishing. But it’s all good. What can you do. Try not to think about the people numbers. As long as they respect your space.

I spend a lot of time on the river. Just can’t do it tomorrow because I have to dog set this weekend.

I’m gonna head up to Pike County after the Holiday for a few days. Fish a few new spots. Good luck when you get out.

caught a few fish on frogs today. Water temps in the mid- high 70*s. First frog fish of the year, and first time throwing it this year as well.

Hey, me too! First time really throwing the frog ever

2 trips at Ontelaunee, about 12 blowups on the frog, a lot of missed fish, and two nice ones at 2.4 and 2.5 pounds. Might go to a Heavy, my MH Dobyns fury feels sort of light for this type of fishing

I like the 7'3" mh dobyns rods my club uses for frogging, and its what I used today. Once I get all my rods ready for this tournament season ill be running a 6'10" h xf with a tail sv and 50 lb braid for smaller frogs skipping cover, and a7'4" avid x fans Curado dc for frogging mats.

mh works, depends on the length of the rod though.

Went to my local Ditch to hammer some snakes with my popping perch. Missed  more than I care to remember but still got two nice ones.

First green lane trip was a success. Definitely need a fish finder though, there was nothing shallow. Caught two dinks in real deep wood

Gonna fish in the Wednesday Night Lunkers tournament at Nock this week.  I will have to fish normal baits I suppose....

Hit Beltzville from 5 am to 8 am today. First time there, I caught one 2lb smallmouth on a drop shot in 12' and saw some cruiser largemouth, big ones and little ones, but they refused to eat no matter how close I put it to their mouths.

It's an interesting lake - pretty deep and clear water.

missed my pb at green lane. Ate a 1/2oz black/blue jig. Thing looked to be over 6. After pulling drag, jumping 3x, I get him right at the boat about to lip it, and it shakes the hook free. Absolutely sick. It’s tough grinding so long for that one bite, and not being able to capitalize when it comes

I feel the pain brother

Just keep on grinding, they get bigger than that in Green Lane! Some guy fished there every single day two summers ago trying to catch a 10 pounder, then one day he takes his wife out and she catches it instead.

A 10 pounder in PA, can ya imagine?

What are the motor restrictions on Green?

Electric only and you must quatraine your boat/pay the yearly fee, or rent. It’s nice because there is little Pressure. The 100$ spent is well worth it

If anyone wants to fish there soon, let me know. Just text me - 610-657-5727. There are some absolute tanks in there. I now know first hand...

Are you renting or have a boat there?  I would be interested in coming down.
