Bruce424 Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 today was a good day at blue marsh. caught seven bass with one being a tank of a smallie, probly a lil over 6lbs . was using a lipless mostly. but caught a couple on spinnerbaits too. caught a nice 5 lb largie but she swallowed the lipless to her gills and was bleeding bad so i didnt take a pic. i just unhooked and got her back in the water as fast as possible and she swam off. 2 Quote

YoTone Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 Had to put down the chatterbait and reached for my jig out of desperation. Caught her in really thick shallow cover. 2 Quote

Ive never caught one on a lipless. i have a few and i take a few casts once in a blue moon with them but i never had confidence in them. Quote
JediAmoeba Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 These weather swings are brutal this year...and I don't remember there ever being so much wind! Quote
YoTone Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 Yeah man the wind has kept me off the water a lot more than i expected. Quote
Adam Markley Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 Weather and quarantine have me not wanting to fish as much. Curious what brand reels you guys prefer. Debating between a Curado k and a tatula sv103 Quote
YoTone Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 Decided to try nockamixon for the first time. I realized a few weeks ago its about the same drive time as marsh. Launched at the three mile boat ramp so I can try the southern end first. Found some milfoil in some areas and got some bites by ripping my chatter bait out of clumps. Lost one trying to lift her out of the water cos I forgot to bring my net but I managed to get this small guy in. Quote
Quarry Man Posted April 21, 2020 Author Posted April 21, 2020 caught a decent pickerel on a lipless today at the lake house. Stopped by a pond for a few min when I got home and made a few casts, didn't catch anything 22 hours ago, Adam Markley said: Weather and quarantine have me not wanting to fish as much. Really depends on its intended use. Quote

YoTone Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 Fished nockamixon again for a few hours. The presence of grass is such a nice change from the sprayed grassless marsh creek. The wind was managble but still a factor. Got two on the chatter bait. Quote
JediAmoeba Posted April 24, 2020 Posted April 24, 2020 So far the pickerel are dominating my year...3 to 1 in their favor. Only caught a few ok bass... 2 Quote
Imbit Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 hi guys - just trying to figure out the gov's reg's on this quarrantine ... I haven't been out fishing yet as everything I hear indicates no golf, no fishing, pretty much no nothing right now. Are we technically allowed to trailer our boats without getting hassled and fish under the quarrantine ? THanks - Quote
