Garmin Echomap 94SV won’t power on?

My Garmin Echomap 94SV won’t power on. It is the previous model, one generation older than the new one that just came out. Everything recently got wet except the actual unit which was not attached. I was unable to power it on several tries. There appears to be some damage on a few of the parts, so I ordered new parts. I met with my tech-Ed teacher, and it appeared that everything was working just fine, although when we attached it to a 12v battery, nothing happened. Only thing I can think of is if the actual unit is damaged or if the unit needs to be attached to the fish finders to power on

I’ve got a Garmin of that same generation. It’s easy not to get the power connector pushed all the way in. Be sure you have it connected properly.

You have 12v at the cable where it connects to the head unit? If the wiring got wet it could have a corrosion issue at one of the connectors. Also, is the fuse good? It sounds simple but I am a mechanic by trade and have seen experiance guys forget the simple stuff occasionally. Also, if the fuse or holder got wet, make sure there is voltage going through the fuse. Even if the fuse is good, there may be a connection failure in the fuse holder itself. Pulling the fuse and putting it back should take care of that unless its badly corroded.
