Taking a trip to Champlain to smallmouth fish last of September first of October. What can we expect up there during that time frame?

The latest MLF Summit Cup elimination rounds are being televised up there. They're catching a ton of bass of both species. Worth your look-see.

Champlain is huge, but fishes small.  There's fish all over the place.  They should be chewing pretty good.  Hope for some cool nights, and clear days.  Fishing up here is great that time of year.

Feed bag is on during that time.  Bring clothing for literally any weather though.  They'll mostly be between dirt and 20ft.  North end of the lake will be most consistent as far as Smallies.  Mid lake might have giants but are harder to find.  South end smallies must have taken a wrong turn.

Chatterbaits, traps, 4.8 keitech, zoom speedcraws Carolina rigged, jigs, bone super spooks, spinnerbaits and a drops shot...  ie everything we throw anyway lol.
