I'm wondering what hook size you guys use with these? My order hasn't come yet but I got some Owner #1 twistlocks for them but now I'm wondering if i should have gotten bigger?

I've never used that small 2.8" for weedless rigging. They're pretty thick and a hook that small isn't going to have much bite in the event that you got bit. A #1/0 on a jig head works great for for them if you fish them on an open hook.

A 1 EWG works.  Do that when carolina rigging them.  That bait is awesome on a jighead & dropshot too.

I've always used them on an open jighead with a #1 hook. They're a killer when fish are feeding on tiny shad early in the year.

1/16 oz  or  1/8th oz head and a #1 hook.

like bluebasser  said right after the shad or bluegill spawn when theyre seeing a lot of small fish a 2.8 on a jig head can be dynamite.

Unmatched bait on alewife lakes. I fish mine on a 1/4oz head most of the time, in deeper water. 2/0 hook on those heads.

Siebert Outdoors *Morel Jig Head in 1/16th oz. , 3/3nd oz. or 1/18th oz. ... All use a high quality Owner #1 hook which fits the Keitech 2.8 perfectly !

*While the Morel jig head was designed primarily for the Ned Rig - it also is outstanding on a Keitech 2.8" Fat Swing Impact . You also have a choice of color selection with the Morel Jig Head : I like a red color jig head with the Sight Flash , French Pear  color Keitechs , Black & Blue color jig head with the Blue Gill Flash color , Green Pumpkin color jig head with the Ayu color , Cobalt Blue color jig head with Electric Shad color and Black & Silver jig head color with the Silver Flash Minnow and Shad color Keitechs . I will also use a chartreuse color Morel jig head on any Keitech if I need to add attraction in stained water or over cast day ... *Shameless Plug* : You can spend more time and money else where on a ball head jig hoping the hook will fit , hoping the jig maker used a high quality hook etc. With the Morel jig head form Siebert Outdoors you will have no worries - I've never had a bad jig head from Mike , every one is perfect and the color options can't be beat ... Did I mention the Owner #1 hook which is used ?

P.S. If you think a 2.8"Keitech Fat Swing Impact can't be beat - then you haven't tried a Z-Man Slim Swimz 2.5" or 3" in Bad Shad color on the same Morel jig heads  ... Equal to or better than a Keitech (specially at slow speeds) and 50 bass days on one soft plastic are common ... Try that with a Keitech !
