Super User geo g Posted May 11, 2019 Super User Posted May 11, 2019 !).To me it's as much about casting to targets like a game of darts. 2).Looking for targets to cast to, and any settle movements like happy water, movement of vegetation, or small bait scattering, and finding structure. 3).Playing the wind to hit targets, while keeping the line free. 4). Changing bait movements until you figure out what they want that day. Moving fast, dead sticking, snapping off the bottom, walking along the bottom, slow steady pull, ect. 5).Trying different water column levels to see where they are hanging that day, that hour. 6). Tuning the equipment to get optimal performance. These are just some of the things that give me joy, and make me happy as well as the actual catching. When your in the zone, it's all good, when your not it stinks. 1 Quote
Ineedanewscreenname20190512 Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Oh my goodness you have no idea. I'm from a small town in the U.P of Michigan, and everybody and their uncle's fish Walleye. Which don't get me wrong, is a great time, and are awesome to eat. But I don't have the patience for that haha. Not a whole lot of bass guys around me. You should see the looks I get when I show up with a baitcaster yet alone when I whip out a tackle bag of just bass lures ? haha 1 Quote
