Warming up in NH

Hello,

 

I was wondering what are you guys favorite lures when it is just starting to get the temperature over 50's and in the mid-'60s. I tend to fish pretty clear water,  it has been pretty windy these past days, and I tend to fish ponds, but I am trying to fish the Nashua River but I have never known what to really throw in Rivers even though I only live a couple of minutes away. So what are your guy's recommendations?

Hey Martin, I don’t fish the Nashua river much but there is a lot of information in the southern New Hampshire thread about it. There are a few guys that fish that river a lot. Good luck!

Lipless crankbaits and jerkbaits will be your 2 main baits. Try different colors and different retrieves to see how they want it.

Jigs work very well for me. Even if the lake is still have frozen. This time of year you’ve got to find the warmest water.

Hey martin, I can't say I fish many rivers but I do fish a lot of ponds throwing:

• Chatterbaits
• Jerkbaits
• Lipless
• Finesse Jigs
• Flipping jigs 
• T-rigs 

And when it warms up a bit my top water I'll probably use a whopper plopper to throw it in areas that were covered in aquatic plants and pads in the summer time.
