I don’t own one but I have used them and they are great reels.  They feel very durable and smooth.  I personally have a couple tournament pros and love them but for what you have mentioned a super duty might be the better option.

how do you like the tournament pros

I love them! I have fished with many different reels in that price range and have never found one I personally like better.

At that price range the OK wins. I would wait and stretch the budget a bit and expand your options.  You can still find used Chronarch MGL’s for a few dollars more

Well I got lucky at Gander Mountain back in 2014 and bought BB1 Pro Tatula and Chronarch CI4 for very good price. The BB1 Pro didnt last but a few hours til it started having issues and just kept getting worse returned after a few weeks got my money back while I still could. The Tat and Ci4 still going.

Those paddle style knobs within hours split apart, the level wind became very loose and loud screeching on the cast. Tried oiling the brake drum lightly but screech still there. Screech went away with brakes fully off.

The gears didnt grind on mine it was actually very smooth but didnt have it for very long time for them to go bad.

Tatula, Fuego, curado, curado k, curado DC, Scorpion, Abu Revo SX, Abu Revo S, Abu Revo X, Casitas, and a lot more but these are the ones that come right to my mind.  I realize these aren't all in the same price range but I couldn't remember retail on all of them so I just included whatever I thought was somewhere close???   And a bunch of people are going to disagree with me but just my personal opinion is that the lews tournament is better than all of these.

Thats really weird, I have never had that many problems with a lews reel.

Well the new BB1 pros have different knobs and they updated their braking system to fix the noise issue many had to what they call QuietCast.

I have a lews custom and it seems good so far but in comparison, my curado casts much farther and is much more refined

I have both the curado k and the tatula Sv. Out of the 2 I prefer the feel and casting of the curado k! Nothing against the daiwa as my dad has been really pleased with the tatula’s but the curado just feels more refined, smoother, and casts a country mile. It’s on my flipping stick

How far do you cast when flipping......10' max!
