BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted March 29, 2019 BassResource.com Administrator Posted March 29, 2019 There are several rumors swirling around about the location of the 2020 Bassmaster Classic. Birmingham seems to be the leading candidate right now. Has anyone heard of any other locations? Quote
JT Bagwell Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 haha I just asked you this in another post. The only 2 rumors that I have heard were Birmingham and Lake Mead but Mead seemed to be more wishful thinking than anything. B'ham is probably where my money would be as of today. Quote
Super User Team9nine Posted March 29, 2019 Super User Posted March 29, 2019 Birmingham/Guntersville is what I’ve heard as most likely, too... Quote
OCdockskipper Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 I have been pushing/wishing for Mead in every comment I make on the BASS site. I know Vegas is not as LMB focused as many other cities in the country, but it would be a great way to celebrate history and divert any potential negative comments coming about it being the first Classic without the names who left. Sell the sizzle, not the steak. No place sizzles like Vegas and the historical relevance could be the story. They could also tie it to a West Coast swing, they haven't been here since 2015. 2 Quote

I have been authorized by B.A.S.S. to distribute tickets to the 2020 Classic at Lake Guntersville with the weigh in's at Birmingham. Tickets for the morning takeoff are $10 per day for standing room only, $150 if you want to sit on one of the boats & chat with the anglers prior to takeoff. There is one special ticket for $375 that allows you to fire the starting pistol to send all the boats off at once. For the weigh-in, general admission is $25, but there are some special seats. For $125, you can drive one angler into the arena for the weigh-in. For $239, you can carry one of the anglers fish to the scales. And the special for this year, for only $1400, you can replace Trip Weldon and weigh in all the fish for one of the 3 days. The only potential downside of any of these special tickets is that you must wear a shirt that says "DICKS" across the front & back, which may lead to some confusion as to the type of person you are or whether or not you enjoy San Francisco. Please contact Glenn here at Bass Resource to secure these tickets before they are sold out. I believe Glenn is including a Circuit City gift card with every order for a limited time. 6 Quote
Super User Sam Posted July 28, 2019 Super User Posted July 28, 2019 Having a good sense of humor is a sign of high intelligence. Here is an article I put out about LSU selling beer and wine at their football games. A few of my friends thought it was totally true. I based it on the official news release. It’s official now – beer and wine will be sold in Tiger Stadium to the general public beginning this season. “This is all about enhancing the fan experience, responding to the feedback from our fans and doing it responsibly,” said LSU Athletic Director Scott Woodward in a press release issued by the school. “It’s a big addition to our events and we believe it will be a positive one overall for all those drunk coona***s, and we are going about it with the appropriate mindset and thorough planning. Each patron will be limited to no more than 12 cans of Abita Purple Haze or more if they can get the tickets from others, especially their kids, and no more than six glasses of wine, unless you go for the cheap stuff from Eunice. Students no longer will be forced to hide the booze in their draws or girl friends’ bras. No worry about getting your b***s cut on the cans, including the ones that are already open when you enter the stadium. ” The beer and wine will not be sold to anyone under 6, and will be primarily offered at the concession stands nearest the student section. Kids are encouraged to go get their parents and friends beer and wine during the game so the adults will not miss a play. The cheerleaders will also be able to wet their thirst as beer boys will take the Abita Purple Haze and the Eunice wine to them during the games. The coaches, led by Coach Eau, will be able to enjoy some spirits during the games. Opposing coaches and teams will have their own beer and wine concession stand in the visitor’s locker room before, during and after the game for the visiting teams, fans and coaches.” Woodward continued, “We expect everyone to clean up after themselves and the people they throw up on during the game to help keep Tiger Stadium clean. Bathrooms will be kept open at all times so everyone can take advantage of a fast in and out and not miss a play on the newly installed TVs. German sausages with lots of onions and green peppers will be served along with the beer and wine so everyone can have an enjoyable dinner.” Tiger Stadium holds 106,000 fans, of which 100,000 will be drunk coon***es making the games more exciting and loud. 1 Quote

You take something totally ridiculous (little kids buying & drinking alcohol) and you frame it in official sounding language, as if they are taking a hard stand against those drunk 5 year olds. Excellent. 1 Quote
