Cahoots5150 Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Back in the day, I used to slay some of my local lakes here in San Diego Using Don Lovino reapers. Mainly Carolina rigged. However, I stopped using them due to Heavy grass in the summer time. Could you possibly drop shot reapers and have good results? Quote
SWVABass Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 I’ve done it. It’s been a great numbers bait. The down side was small fish loved it but I’ve caught 3 lbers doing it. 1 Quote

paulmandude Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 I often fish a 3-1/2 in. wave worm tiki-drop on a dropshot. Probably my favorite dropshot bait. Good luck finding them, I think they’re now discontinued. Got a bunch when they were like $1.50/bag 1 Quote
Super User Raul Posted March 30, 2019 Super User Posted March 30, 2019 They were originally meant to be d-shot, even the "special" weight was meant for that. 1 Quote
Super User WRB Posted April 1, 2019 Super User Posted April 1, 2019 Before Iovino came out with Reapers they was soft plastic leeches that look exactly like GYCB Wave worm. Back in the early 80’s Western Plastics in San Deigo introduced the 3” Reaper design that Iovino makes today, hand pour with a flat bottom and salted. Reapers were 1st split shot rigged. If you rig them flat side down the spin. Tom Quote
