bassman97504 Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 I am going to be relocating to the Knoxville area and one of the biggest criteria I am considering is finding a town that is best centrally located to the best bass fishing in the area. Does anyone have any opinions on which towns I should look at so I am within 5-30 minutes from great bass fishing? thanks! Quote
Josh Gann Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 I live in Jefferson city TN. I'm 5 minutes from Cherokee lake , 15 minutes from Douglas lake, 35 minutes from ft Loudon lake. And many other quality lakes close by. Welcome to bass heaven imo Quote

When I bought my house, my number 1 criteria was it has to be about 5 miles or less from the water Quote
BoatSquirrel Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Anywhere around the area has its advantages but the best lake in the state for big largemouths is Chickamauga and Watts Bar rates a close second. If you prefer smallmouth and river fishing, the waters east of Knoxville is where to look. Can not go wrong in East TN, just a fantastic part of the country for fishing. The only drawback is lots of boats on any of the the big lakes. Quote
