michaelsrex Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 Has anybody tried the Berkey wake bull wake bait? Does anybody throw wake baits? I've never used one. I've mostly stuck to stick baits and ploppers style topwater Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 26, 2019 Global Moderator Posted March 26, 2019 Haven't tried that one but their Surge Shad and Jointed Surge Shad are both really nice. The Storm Arashi wake bait is a good wake bait that I've fished quite a bit. Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted March 26, 2019 Super User Posted March 26, 2019 I've had a lot of luck with the old Xcalibur wake baits that look quite a bit like these and the old Lucky Craft RC wake baits that are this shape but jointed. Quote
camman Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 I picked 1 up but haven’t used it yet. I have a couple of the old LC RC wake baits and do really well in the summer time so will try this out in a few months Quote
paulmandude Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 Put on a clinic at the local pond one day using a Mann’s waker. It was sunny, not too windy and pond has stained water. There are usually a lot of dragonflies around so maybe they are accustomed to looking up. Or maybe they’ve never seen such a thing before! 1 Quote
Ksam1234 Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 If your going to use any wake bait I would suggest an MS slammer or the shellcracker G2 is also very good. Quote
Smalls Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 I haven’t, yet. Only because I haven’t seen one locally, yet. I’m a topwater junkie, and wakebaits are one of my favorites. Quote

I've had some real fun with Baby 1 Minus on the ponds I fish. Quote
