MartinTheFisherman Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 Hello, I was wondering how everyone organizes their non-opened lures or new lures still in the package? Without getting them misshaped or rusted? Thanks Martin Lures I need to find a way to organize... Quote
redmexican5081 Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 Leave half at home as backup for when you lose one 1 Quote
Super User Scott F Posted March 25, 2019 Super User Posted March 25, 2019 I open them and throw away the packaging as soon as I get them home. I then store them in Plano utility boxes. 2 Quote
Hog Basser Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 I store them on peg board hooks. Once I'm ready to take them out to the water, the packaging comes off and they go in my box. 3 Quote
Super User fishwizzard Posted March 25, 2019 Super User Posted March 25, 2019 Plastics go into shoe-box sized plastic tubs sorted by type. Hard baits go into cardboard boxes placed in large rubbermaid bins very roughly sorted by type. 1 Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted March 25, 2019 Super User Posted March 25, 2019 Plastics go in old tackle boxes based on what type of plastic it is. Senkos in one box creatures in another like that. I open the hard baits as soon as I get them home. 1 Quote
Super User Munkin Posted March 26, 2019 Super User Posted March 26, 2019 66 quart tubs with other like baits where they set forever because I do not have enough time to fish them but keep buying them. Allen 3 2 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 26, 2019 Global Moderator Posted March 26, 2019 I keep them semi-organized on pegboards in my shop. 3 Quote
paulmandude Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 several totes like this with grocery bags inside organized by type: stick baits, flukes, craws, creatures, etc... For hard baits, a huge cardboard box with grocery bags inside organized by type: spinnerbaits, shallow cranks, mid cranks, deep cranks, jerkbaits, jigs, etc. Then a few smaller cardboard box for terminal tackle like weights, hooks, jig heads, misc., etc. I don’t have a problem with bent baits. But then again haven’t gotten to the bottom of the tote lol. Seems like I never will. The pile only gets bigger! I do rummage through occasionally and haven’t noticed anything too bad 1 Quote

fin Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 I've seen display stands sitting out behind stores in strip malls many times. I assume they're trash and are free for the taking. Or you might ask someone in a store if they have any old display stands you could have. 1 Quote

junyer357 Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 Pegboard hooks. Easy to see and grab when restocking. 1 Quote
blckshirt98 Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 Store them in Ziploc gallon freezer bags by brand or type, then store those in the large 66 qt Sterlites. 1 Quote
