OnthePotomac Posted March 23, 2019 Posted March 23, 2019 Everyone has a favorite site they use with which to post pics on here. I am looking to change mine and am curious as to what others use and like. I currently use TinyPic and sometimes it works and sometime it does not. Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted March 23, 2019 Super User Posted March 23, 2019 I don't use an online site - don't trust my stuff that way...also why I don't use Cloud Storage. Paint Shop Pro on my desktop. 1 Quote
Super User Gundog Posted March 23, 2019 Super User Posted March 23, 2019 Paint.net is what I use. Quick and easy to resize and crop photos. Quote
Super User NHBull Posted March 23, 2019 Super User Posted March 23, 2019 Copic works great and is free.....resizeit for laptops is awesome and simple Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted March 23, 2019 Global Moderator Posted March 23, 2019 I email it to myself, problem solved. 1 Quote
Will Wetline Posted March 23, 2019 Posted March 23, 2019 I had used PhotoBucket for a number of years and was annoyed by a variety of problems. When they announced $399.99 for a fairly basic plan not too long ago, I did a search and decided on a basic plan from https://www.smugmug.com/ I have been nothing but pleased. Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted March 23, 2019 Super User Posted March 23, 2019 "Photo & Picture Resizer" app on my phone. Excellent app. Quote
Super User FishTank Posted March 24, 2019 Super User Posted March 24, 2019 Working in printing, I have an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription. I have so much storage, I don't now how big it really is. Photoshop and Lightroom have been my goto's over the years. If you are serious about photography, this may be an option but it is pricy. Quote
Super User scaleface Posted March 24, 2019 Super User Posted March 24, 2019 All I have to do is right click on a photo and it give me the option to resize . Quote

22RangerZ520R Posted March 24, 2019 Posted March 24, 2019 I use Flickr.com. I don't have any pictures in my Flickr profile/album that I wouldn't care for the whole world to see.... No personal family pics, etc. in there. I don't have any social media profiles/accounts either for that reason, don't want the whole world seeing that part of my life..... Quote

I email it to myself then save it to my phone, then on this site go to choose files grab the picture and you’re good to go. Quote

This, if you are posting online - its public and so is your post on the internet anyway. Reddit uses this and it's in the top 20 sites of the world. Dropbox if you just want cloud storage is easy enough and works on phone, pc, etc. and syncs it all for you. Only allows 2gb of space though. Got a TON of stuff? Use backblaze for $60 a year unlimited storage via cloud or you can build your own server for $3500 less the drives and use some port forwarding to access your stuff (not accounting for bandwidth). 60 x 4tb drives runs around an extra $6000 for 2.4 petabytes of storage if you want to go crazy. (240 terabyes or 24000 gigabytes for you non technical people) paint.net works just fine for image editing and it is free. Adobe Photoshop for those who want to do whatever you want. Quote

Only thing I use my G-Drive for is backup for my E-Reader program - allows me to sync reading position between my tablet and my phone. Quote

Imgur mobile is like pulling teeth, I have to force-load the dekstop site to upload or post pics. Their apps/mobile site are both designed to “encourage” you to use their site as a social media platform and not just an image host. Quote
