Super User Columbia Craw Posted March 23, 2019 Super User Posted March 23, 2019 I was channel surfing after the Oregon v. Wisconsin game and saw a new channel added to my cable carrier called RELAXATION or "DogTV.". I checked it out and it's a channel for your dog. It plays images of animals and music to help reduce your dog's anxiety and stress. No joke. I told the wife to come in and check this out because she thought I was pulling her leg. It seemed that absurd. So I switch channels to prove it. Dallas, her Min Pin comes out and watches the channel for about 90 seconds, walks to the french doors off the deck and craps on the rug. Are you kidding me!!! I'm paying for this channel? I hope you guys with man's best friend don't have channel 562 on Direct TV. If you do, get a drop cloth. I'm glad we don't have a pot bellied pig. I'd eat my gun. 5 Quote
Super User Koz Posted March 23, 2019 Super User Posted March 23, 2019 I think you actually have to pay extra for that channel, but every now and then they have a free preview. At least that's the way it used to be. I tried to get my dog to watch it on one of those free preview days but he wasn't interested. However, whenever we watch NatGeo or a channel that has a show with bears in it he growls at the bears. It doesn't happen with any other animal on TV, just bears. Quote
Super User Gundog Posted March 23, 2019 Super User Posted March 23, 2019 You should see the "Cat Channel". Its nothing but balls of yarn and the occasional laser pointer on the wall. 1 4 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 24, 2019 Global Moderator Posted March 24, 2019 It's part of the package we get. We leave the TV on that channel for the dogs while they're gone. Our younger dog gets pretty anxious and it actually seems to help. Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted March 25, 2019 Global Moderator Posted March 25, 2019 I can’t believe our dogs haven’t attacked the tv yet Quote

HeyCoach Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 “Relaxation,” lol. Puppy dog tried to protect her humans from the sleeping wiener dog. She was surprised her barking didn’t wake it up. 1 Quote
