KP Duty Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 I've found a few baits over the years that ended up being big producers for me. One notable find was a rebel spoonbill minnow in Tennessee shad I snagged about 25yrs ago. Suspended perfectly with the lead they had wrapped on the trebles and the fish were ready to eat it. Never had this happen in a tournament like it did to second place classic finisher Jesse Wiggins. "He started out throwing a Jackall Bling 55 square-bill in practice. He hooked a broken line that had custom-pained flat-sided plug attached to it and, figuring the angler who lost it probably knew what he was doing on the venue, he began fishing it. He eventually surrendered that bait to the lake, just as the previous owner had, but was able to find two just like it at a local tackle shop and managed to keep those throughout the event" Quote

Largies4Life Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 I had this same thing happen to me last year on my last night out of the year musky fishing. Fishing a big reef and got snagged on the rocks (or so I thought) and ended up breaking loose (or so I thought) and once I got my lure to the boat, there was line on the last treble. I had to put on gloves because the braid almost went through my hand since the lure was stuck on rocks, but managed to get it loose and it ended up being a double cowgirl still in perfect condition. It even came with a leader too! Quote

Derek1 Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 I’m guessing he did since he ran to the store to get two more. Quote
papajoe222 Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 I've hooked into a number of finds, two of which had fish attached to them. One was a Colorado bladded spinnerbait with a channel cat attached. The other was a 1.4oz Mepps impaled in the back of a 15lb. carp. I still have the Mepps, but have failed to get another carp using it. Quote

Yea, I incorrectly posted that he placed 2nd, but he finished third. Complete article... https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-2019BMCOD.html Quote
