nralover Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 What a cool little boat:) Easy to transport, more stable than a small jon boat, and the 34 pound thrust trolling motor pushed it just fine. Caught some bass and even brought home a mess of panfish for the fryer. I can see I'll be spending alot more time in this thing! Quote
wagn Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 these are great aren't they. I have on that i leave at my parents river. I can always just stop by and go fishing, no problem. It's like a floating suitcase, but super stable Quote
simplejoe Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 I was looking at one at Dick's sporting goods I figured it would be better than a canoe. still can't talk the wife into another boat Quote
nralover Posted May 13, 2008 Author Posted May 13, 2008 Yep-, and based on the prices I have seen lately I got it for a great price. 499.00 at my local sporting goods store:) Quote
alex24 Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Hi All, How stable are these? Because I don't own an SUV or a pick up truck I was wondering if I can put it on top of a Suzuki Aerio! Alex Quote
Aluma-Bass Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 i was wondering how durable these were bc i have heard holes/cracks being made from rocks or structure under water and taking in water inside of frame of boat...ive seen one on craigslist for sale with hole in it...just curious on durability of these boats... nralover Posted May 13, 2008 Author Posted May 13, 2008 I bought one on the recommendations of my father and my cousin. My dad is VERY wary of unstable boats because of his ailing back, and he is completely comfortable in his- he even stands up in it and fishes. (He is 6'4") My cousin has owned one for the better part of ten years with zero durability problems, and he regularly fishes small lake tournaments out of it. I think you will love them:) Quote
wagn Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 i've had mine for 2 years, and never had a crack. However I have seen one that was cracked and still works just fine, the pontoons are foam filled and will float even if filled w/ water. Pretty cool little boats and great for electric only lakes. I never had a trailer and just threw it on top of my isuzu trooper. I've since upgraded to a bigger boat, but still use my bass raider every once and awhile Quote
