did they finally get with the program and put on hook keepers for the north American market?

I’ve come to strongly prefer rods with out hook keepers as I’d rather be able to use one of the Fuji ones placed exactly where I want it, rather than being stuck with whatever the factory decided was best. I fish a ton of t-rigged plastics and the common closed-loop factory keepers are useless to me.

nah ... not willing to spend 360.00 dollars for a fishing rod ... if that floats your boat ... have at it  ...... and .....

good fishing ...

I used to say the same thing.. now I'm like "$360? That doesn't sound so bad..".

Slippery slope.

These rods look SICK. Shimano is killing it. The spinning handle looks like the same one they use on the Zodias.. anyone else notice that?

Hopefully, they will have more models.

Especially, in the spinning line up.

Do you guys notice a lot of fatigue in the hands from fishing with your current rods?

Not really.

But then again most of my combos are fairly light weight.

I have several of the old model adrenas, and they are pretty light weight.

Depends on the combo.  Spinning combos used to kill my wrists after a long day using one until I changed how I hold the rod and started buying lighter reels.

Nice, I had no idea these were on the horizon. I'd have to get one in hand first as I'm not sure about the handle style, but I really like the colors.

I have a Shimano Soare and it is a great finesse rod. One thing about it that is most noticeable is its grip. Gosh, it is just so comfortable to hold, much different than any other rod I use. I see a similar designed grip used on this Poison Adrena rod.

Agreed, pretty expensive but these will likely sell very well if the performance is there. The workmanship, the lightness, the appearance? Off the charts!

Hmm, the video is impressive. I hate to get Shimano fanboy over Rods, but I do like their rods. Things like this mess up my plans....

The more I look and research these I think I'm going to get a spinning rod for weightless Senkos. It'll look killer paired up with a Stradic Ci4+.

felt the full line up at the classic. Very very solid feeling rods. Talked to Alex Davis about them and he gave me a rundown on the features.

I have a spinning rod of the older version and I love it. Easily my favorite rod.

I got hold these rods this weekend at the Shimano booth at the NW sports show and they are AMAZING. The balance is fantastic and It's ridiculous how light there are without skimping on the handle and guides. The taper is quite powerful for a rod that light. I don't know what voodoo Shimano is doing but its shockingly lite. The Phenix feathers feel this fight BUT they have super bare bones handles and components to achieve that weight. This is a fully baked rod. For 350 these are gonna be popular. It felt like a more expensive rod. The 7'3 MH is the obvious front runner.

Im very interested in these, and def think I’ll be trying one in the future. I’m curious if those carbon grips are going to be slippery though in the rain or with sweaty hands in the summer. That’s my only concern. Though in the summer I’m always wearing my half finger sun gloves that have some grippy stuff on the palms. The 6’11” Med+ looks intriguing to me.

They are very smooth, they are not the 'soft touch' material like on the Expride. They feel more like the handle on the St Croix Legend Xtreme IMHO.

That’s interesting bc the handles on the Leg Xtreme that I’ve held in the store as I recal were a bit of a soft almost neoprene like material. I expected these to be a solid smooth finish.
