I bought a small inflatible boat it was $20 at walmart to use. It had oars with it I took it out on a shallow river and I was more frustrated with smacking my @ss off of rocks from sitting in the boat that I took my knife to it. ;D

see im younger (16) i can take the @ss smacking.besides i did it with a blowup canoe it was fine but way to tippy.most of the time i use a paddle boat but its kinda slow and then all me cousins want to ride and if i get a 2 person when 1. person me 2. person my tackle. no more room:).

go for it, they make some nice ones at walmart. I don't know what wally world is I don't have them in here.

p.s.   your topic will most likely be moved to boat, canoes, section

Wally world is the redneck, or country term for Wal-Mart.  :)

save your money and get a float tube you can get a really nice one for 100 or so bucks if you plan on fishing during the cold season then youll have to invest in wader about 50 or so bucks and then fins 20 bucks you definnatly find that its way worth it

i got the waders but, i go out infront of the neabors(spelling) house and dont whant to wade out there whey arnot the nicest peaple. and i go up the lake somtimes and i think it would be a little hard to get to where i fish.and i heard they turn your clothes into a thong:).

Buckwheat, the float tube sounds perfect for you. There is a two bladder back rest that some say adds alittle saftey, but a PFD should be used. I have been doing this for years and I have never had a serious problem the one time i stuck a hook in my tibe , I didn't know until the next morning when it was flat in the garage.

the cheap inflatable is one way to go, but look on craigslist for a 8 foot bass hunter or something. it shouldnt set you back much $$$ but be a better boat in the long run
