Fortunately all bass don't spawn at once so I would think that one could focus on deeper water techniques. You are 1 angler fishing 1 day however multiplied that by 50 anglers fishing every day and the impact increases tremendously. Our small trophy bass lakes in SoCal see that type of fishing pressure everyday and during the spawn cycle fishing pressure is at it's peak. The larger size a lake is the less fishing pressure the overall bass population is impacted. Tom Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted March 18, 2019 Super User Posted March 18, 2019 Site fishing is very frustrating. If bass had fingers I know which one they'd show me when site fishing. I don't do it anymore. I'd rather pull a fly rod out and fish a dry for gills. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted March 20, 2019 Super User Posted March 20, 2019 Open water here. We have actually had ice out about six times. Don't think it ever got over two inches thick. The downside is very cold, very muddy water. Fishing here, right now, would only be casting practice. Wouldn't be any catching. The only thing that would work at this time is dynamite. Quote
