T.A.L38 Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 My question is this: for that 4-6oz bait range what action do you want in the rod? Fast, Moderate, Mod/Fast? Quote
Derek1 Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 I would think it would depend on the hooks on the bait. 1 Quote

NathanDLTH Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 A Dobyns 795 is a MH/Fast action with its main purpose for glides, a-rigs and such which means the rod will probably load up deeper into the blank to help keeping the fish pinned. The 806 from Dobyns, is gonna have a bit more power than 795 because it’s a Heavy and when you stick those fish, you’re grinding them to the boat. Jig hook style baits and weedless style baits work well when paired with this rod. Quote
