It's hard to pick favorites, if I didn't like a reel or rod wouldn't use it.

I enjoy using light weight finess tackle like my original tuned Daiwa Fuego baitcasting reel on Iovino's Splash-it rod in fun combo to use, one of favorites. My passion is catching giant bass on jigs so Daiwa Tatula R100XS on my custom ALX jig & worm rods get the most use. Then fishing big swimbaits is a lot fun so the older Shimano Calcutta 250 on my custom Dobyns 8' XH rod I enjoy using. Spinning is a lot easier, Shimano Stractics on Major Craft rods are my favorite.

Now I need to get out and use them!

Hard for me to pick one. I guess it's an older ABU4600c I've had for a long time. But, I look at reels like tools. Lots of them will get the job done

Baitcaster is the Curado E7 which I use fishing jigs.

Spinning reel would be a Pflueger President because all my spinning reels are presidents.

All of them... can't pick just one.

With all of the fancy new Shimanos I have, I still love to fish with my Curado 100B's.  They are so effortless and do not require constant tuning for results.  Like they have a mind of their own.

Right now it's my BPS Platinum casting reels.

Do you have shimano reels to compare them to?  In BPS they feel very compact and smooth.

I know you're kidding but there is one thing different about it. I ordered a 90 mm handle with the bigger knobs from the XG. Smoothest reel I've ever handled. I'm trying some Sufix Advance to see if the hype's true.

No buddy, I sure don't. I own a few Shimano spinning reels, but no bait casters. While I worked at BPS, I got to play with every reel we sold but we all know that's not a true comparison.

#1 - Chronarch E series (super-tuned) followed closely by the daiwa sv105 (also super-tuned).  I inherited a lew's hyper mag slp but haven't put more than a couple of months on it yet.  Nice reel...time will tell.

I am not really sure. Some days it is my Revo Rocket and others it is my Revo STX.

Both are pretty awesome so it is hard for me to make up my mind.

Probably my Abu Garcia Revo X or Shimano Casitas , but I also really like the 13 Fishing Origin C....all three of these reels fish well above their price point.

Spinning would be ci4+

casting right now is the chronarch mgl

Casting- my Zillion Sv Tw. Although I think the new Steez Sv I got will be taking its place soon. Just haven’t gotten to use it much yet.

Spinning- JDM Daiwa Exist 2003H, hands down smoothest, nicest, best drag reel I’ve ever used. I have stradics and others but nothing compares. Got it during the TW Christmas sale for half of what they normally are and do not regret what I paid one bit.

I like them all at times. Favorite? Probably my old Omoto Cerveza 103a. 100% magnesium, knockoff Steez that weighs less than a Steez and is smaller than any major brand BC on the market, still. Blue, silver and black. What’s not to love?
