Super User WRB Posted March 16, 2019 Super User Posted March 16, 2019 Sliding down is a probem when the bass has the soft plastic worm or creature in it's mouth and you try to get a hook set, the plastic slides down filling the hook gap or covering the hook point....you miss that strike and the hook comes back with the plastic bunched up in the hook bend. FoulHooked Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 Go to walmart and buy a pack of the rubber earring backings. Cheap, clear and easy on and off. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted March 17, 2019 Author Super User Posted March 17, 2019 How would you rig the rubber earing backing? I guess I'm not visualizing this. Quote

Thread the worm on the hook like you normally would but before you stick the point back through the body of the worm, slide the rubber backing on the hook. Slide it all the up until it is against the worm near the eye of the hook. Then finish rigging through the body as usual. 1 Quote
