Was watching a Major League Fishing show this weekend.  Guys were in Maine and using a lot of jerkbaits.  Don't know the pro's name that was using Abu gear, but he was using the 6'10" ML for jerkbaits and said it made a great jerkbait rod.  Personally when I think of ML rods my first thought is finesse.  I have never thought of jerkbaits as a finesse technique.

Now I've got no idea what size lure he was using, but as luck would have it I happened to have that rod.  I was wondering if any of you guys were also using it for jerkbaits.  Or any other ML casting rod for that matter.  I do realize that Abu rods fish a bit heavy.

For smaller jerkbaits it should be fine. I fish jerkbaits on a similar rod (the 6'10 villain will probably be my next rod actually) and it does just fine. Honestly though I'm not particular about my jerkbait rod, so long as it has a fast action and isn't a broomstick it should be decent.

Thanks.  I gave up on getting any replies awhile ago.  Rod is not a broomstick.  :D
