Jhodge4719 Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 So I finally received my box from fishing care package after a long wait and in side was a brand of soft plastics called Attraxx. I believe they called this particular bait mystic eel. From research I did they have a feeding stimulate in then that triggers a fish to feed involuntary.Has anyone used these baits and been pretty productive with them?I don't know about the stimulate actually catching fish but the baits look really good and to me seem like they may have good action if anything else. I have not heard of this mysterious feeding stimulant that causes fish to feed involuntarily. I can imagine it would be quite beneficial, and for only one dollar. Be interested to hear how they work because I often feel like all my baits have the exact opposite effect. A-Jay 2 Quote

You've inherited $5 million from a distant relative in England. All I need from you is $352.67 for the work required by me to take care of all the necessary papers so can receive your inheritance in a timely manner. A cashier's check is preferable. Unfortunately I am in the process of moving to American so my address here is no longer valid. Please send the check in care of my cousin at ....... 1 Quote
fin Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Apparently this is related to research done by a professor at LSU, Dr. John Caprio. Back in ’92, he was involved in a product called “Gotta Bite”, which "contained amino acids". Quote At low concentrations of "Gotta Bite," laboratory fish begin a series of rapid turns, as if searching for the source of the flavor. At higher concentrations "the fish go crazy, chomping at the water, gobbling small rocks, snapping at the walls of their aquarium." "A catfish, exposed to this compound, cannot stop that reflex. He has to bite if he is in the presence of this formula -- like your knee jerking when the doctor hits it with the hammer." He was involved with the BioPulse Lure System, which won best hard lure at ICAST 2008. By 2012 he was involved with Attraxx and their Sci-X™ feeding stimulant. Quote Attraxx is a line of soft baits that are impregnated with and release the patented Sci-X feeding stimulant. Sci-X represents a series of neuro-active feeding stimulants combined into multiple formulas to target all species of fresh and saltwater game fish. Developed through more than a quarter century of research at a major University by one of the world's leading experts in behavior relating to chemosensory neurobiology, the Sci-X compositions work to maximally stimulate multiple sets of nerve pathways that travel from the nose and taste buds of fish to their respective feeding centers in the brain. This action results in an involuntary feeding behavior, whereby the fish will reflexively bite the source of the stimulation. I'd say stick your tongue out and taste one and see if you bite. Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted March 9, 2019 Super User Posted March 9, 2019 Are they even in business yet? The last time I saw those was in an Ollie's bargain store in 2015. Quote
