You could have dropped the whole rig into the lake.

True. Someone once told me their wife said they have too much tacke and said it's a stack of 4 feet high and asked if it's too much. I told them it's only too much if it sinks the boat or can't fit on the boat and falls off the boat and into the lake lol

Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him a bait casting reel.

Abraham Lincoln, I think.

 

Or, as an old boss of mine used to say; 'In adversity, there is opportunity" -- that right there, to me, is just another excuse to hit up TW

Couldn't agree more. Women tend to eat chocolate when they're depress, I go online shopping on TW.

I can't tell you how many clients tell us that purchased and used a baitcast reel once,  and only once...
