WSOzzie Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 Pulled trigger on Curado DC, and while I wait patiently (said no one ever) for arrival, I am curious for input on a jig rod pairing. My current jig rod is a Mossyback brc 803 - ?? Would appreciate thoughts on NRX, Legend Elite, etc. Full disclosure, I’m a 2x satisfied customer of Mike at DVT, and have reached out to him as well. The more analysis, the more paralysis, but wth, I used to golf! Thanks, as always, for the knowledge. Tom Quote
TBAG Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 I'm a St. Croix and Loomis fan but if you're going all out might as well get the NRX. 1 Quote
Largies4Life Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 My vote would be for the Shimano Expride. I just don't see a rod performing any better than an Expride at that price point! That is of course, if you're willing to wait for one, or look on eBay periodically to see if there's one out there, that's how I got mine. 1 Quote

Tom First of all congratulations on your new DC reel, been a fan since they first came out and the technology just keeps getting better. If you like the 3 power of Loomis you might want to take a look at an NRX 803C , NRX 893C and the Conquest 843C . Very light and sensitive bottom contact rods that just don't quit making them a joy to fish with.... 1 Quote
Dan Bures Posted March 24, 2019 Posted March 24, 2019 I own 2 DC's.....One is mounted on a 7'2" Loomis NRX MH/F and the other is on an Expride 6'10 MH/F. I am well pleased with both matings. 1 Quote
