I just want to put this out there. I go on Ardents website frequently. They seem always to have a sale. Now they are offering a 50 percent off on every product.I have every made in USA spinning reel. They have served me well.tthey also have good reel care products. Is the company going out of business?

I jumped on 3 rods for the free shipping...Was looking at the 7'5" Denny Brauer rod anyway. $60 each was worth trying...

It looks like it’s their rod and reels only. All their misc. products are still full price.

50% off isn’t bad though. I’ve never used an ardent product however.

They make decent rods but their reels are junk. Over priced. I had owned one in every price range form the APEX Ranger to the APEX Grand. Only reel that was any good was the APEX Elite. I was very disappointed as I was a fan for the Edge reels the generation before.

I want to thank everyone for their input. The main reason I bought the reels was because of the made in USA and I wanted to support an American company. The first spinning reel the s-400m was a good reel(still in use) reel. Then the next series the s2500 and s2000 had various issues(parts did not match up) but they did have a great warrenty and excellent customer service. I do think I am going to move on to a more established reel manufacturer.

There reels are no longer made in the US anyways.

I can't speak to how long they're going to still be in business, but I can say this. Their reels seem to ALWAYS be on some sort of sale, and they will sponsor anyone who submits a resume to them.

All of their combos were in the clearance section of my local Walmart...

For what it's worth I just got my 3 rods from them, free shipping, and delivered in about 4 days...Seem like nice rods...
