bowman30 Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 This winter has drug on for me... I've organized my tackle 3 different times now while staring out at the snow. Yep I might have cabin fever! I have poured and painted so many extra baits that I'll have enough to last me 3 years. Anybody else ready for fishing weather? Quote
Crankin4Bass Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 We got 9 inches of snow last night. ? I can't wait for spring. Quote
rod snapper Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Apart from doing a polar plunge through the ice last night, i haven't hit the water in 4 months. my new hobby this winter was emptying by bank account on lures i'll never use, just to have something to do that's related to fishing. come quickly spring! Caliyak Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 I pay higher taxes and 2k mortgage to fish year round. I'm broke but fishing. ? Quote
bowman30 Posted March 5, 2019 Author Posted March 5, 2019 Little jealous there Caliyak ?, one day I do plan on moving to a lake I can fish year round. I know we needed the "moisture" this winter, but the next person that says it-is gonna get slapped ?. Looks like we are on a warming trend here for the next week or so! Polar plunge! Accident or on purpose? Besides making a lot of my own baits that bait monkey gets me too. 1 Quote

I can't go out in 55 degree rainy weather, harsh weather. LOL ? In all seriousness, if you are planning to come west. Look at the central valley. From Redding to Bakersfield. Still affordable and very Right leaning. ? Avoid the bay area, central coast and So-Cal, housing is getting ridiculous. You can also look at Napa Valley by Clear Lake. I am leaning towards Elk Grove area to retire. Very nice city. The delta is a rock throw away. Quote
Redroy Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 Can’t wait for the spring! I’ve been ice fishing for pike several times but it’s just not the same as open water on kayak or a boat! We’ve had -degree temps up in here in eastern Washington and winters grip doesn’t look like it’s leaving too soon. I have new reels that need strung and new Yamamoto senkos that havnt been opened, can’t wait!! Quote
diversity210 Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 Man I have been so anxious to break out the lipless crankbaits. Though we are into spring, we are still getting a lot of rain here in northern california. So I havent been able to get out on the water yet. It is eating me up too. Quote
SWVABass Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 We’ve been hitting the high 70s to low 80s here and trees are blooming and budding out. Spring has started for me but fishing hasn’t. Trainings wildfires and sick family members are priorities over my fishing right now. But I have submitted rosters, paid dues, and developed a new weighin sheet in the last week. Someone hammered a 10lber last week I need to get out. Quote
