Delaware_lip_ripper Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 So I just bought my first one which is a lowerance elite 7ti from Cabela's here in Delaware. Got it for just under $500. Before I use it this season I was thinking on upgrading it to the hds7 with active 3in1 transducer for 500$ more. Kinda have the extra 500$ now to do the upgrade when taking the other back. Opinions on if this is a good idea or if other brands are better? So all in all what is best for 1000$ or less Quote
sully420 Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 Definitely do the upgrade. All brands are really good so dont worry about that. Just spend the time on the water learning how to use it. Quote
Delaware_lip_ripper Posted March 6, 2019 Author Posted March 6, 2019 Thanks for the reply. I did the upgrade to hds 7live. Hope it's as good as they say lol. Now I'm wondering about the 3D structure scan for it lmao Quote
K1500 Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 I haven't used either but my local shop had the elite 7 for $820 and the HDS Live 7 for $999. At that price differential it was easy to chose the HDS live. I pick up the boat this week so I will have to learn the electronics on it. The ability to network with the TM and the engine is an added bonus. Also, building a map of an 'unknown' lake seems like it may be a nice feature. Quote
Delaware_lip_ripper Posted March 7, 2019 Author Posted March 7, 2019 So did you go with or plan on going with 3D module? Quote
