I’m looking for a bulky plastic to put on a jig that is not overly long. I like the thick body of a missle baits d-bomb but wish it was a bit bigger overall. Any suggestions?

Beaver type soft plastics, double wide body with flapping appendages to slow the fall, they come in several sizes.

Something like this? I like these as stand-alones, but they'd work on a jig for sure. Little more subtle approach.

Where would I get this?

Rage Tail Lobster or Craw & cut the length down ?

Power Team Conviction Craw. Appendages down the side add to the bulk. Not to mention it’s 4.5” long. You can bite it to make it shorter. Fantastic bait on a pegged t-rig, but I’m sure it would do just as well on a jig.

Whenever I want to add bulk to a jig without adding a huge 5" craw etc....I break out the Spider grub and trim the upper part of the skirt for added flare.

If you trim the top portion of the skirt, it will look bigger when its sitting or when you hop it etc...There are a ton of good options, but a 4" Spider grub gives you bulk, extra flare with the plastic skirt, and you can simply bite a piece off if you need it shorter......

Spider Grubs give you bulk plus twin tails to mimic either a craw or baitfish....You can rig it sideways etc..

One of my favorite color combinations is black blue with a green pumpkin red or black red spider grub..Not sure why it works so well, but it just does.

I have heard of using a Zoom Horny Toad for a jig trailer. I have not tried it so I can't say how well it works.

You can always go absolutely huge and use a Rage Tail Magnum Bug. Those things are probably 150% of a DBomb. You could also use the Yamamoto Cowboy, that bait has a thick body and some big curly tail grub tails on the back that move a lot of water

Pit boss is an awesome short, stocky trailer. I use both the 3 and 4 inch depending on the jig. They are pretty cheap too.

A lot of good options already posted but you shouldn't sleep on these. I know guys that use nothing else and they're among the best local tournament anglers.
