New to the forums but have a simple question.

where can I buy a new trokar hat ? I see several fisherman on tv using them (Mark Zona) but I can’t find one anywhere . I contacted eagle claw and they won’t respond . All I can find is used hats on eBay.

Any help would be appreciated .

I don't know for sure where to find one but if I wanted one and it were me, I'd contact Eagle Claw (company that makes them) and ask them if they have them available.

Already did . No response . Emailed several times . I’m beginning to think they’re only available to their sponsored anglers . Seems odd for a fishing company to not make hats .

Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~

Not sure what lengths you're willing to go but how about going overseas . . ?

Thanks for the reply ! That’s not bad , don’t mean to be picky i just prefer the snap back . It’s still odd to me that there aren’t more options offered by trokar . Thanks for your response though .

OK - So get yourself onto the Elite Tour or perhaps become a host of a successful Fishing Show

Either of those should get you the hat of your choice.

Good Luck

Hello @Wannabefisherman1, from Northern California! Welcome to Bass Resource and all of the Forums! Regarding your question, nice hat but I didn’t take the time to figure out the exchange rate before posting this. Good luck in your search and good fishing, JB

There is a brand new on the bay right now for $15.50. Not sure if you are looking for a certain style (I don't have a clue what Mark Zona wears).

Welcome to BR.

If you are anywhere near Bassmaster Classic the Eagle Claw booth should have them.

Maybe a member that is going can pick up a hat for you?

Tom

PS, Eagle Claw-Tokar isn't a company, it's a brand of Wright & McGill, Denver CO.

Is it too much to ask HUH?  What for? Are you kidding?  Do you really think that your fishing skills will improve if you've got the same dome protector as a TV fisherman does?

Call me an old Geezer, ( I don't mind, as a baby boomer we've co-opted that term and it isn't derogatory any more.  It is a title you earn by living 60+ years)  but, I don't see the point of being a human billboard for some company without some compensation.  If the hat was free, that might be enough compensation.   I just don't see the point of wearing come company's logo without some compensation - as mentioned previously, my human bill board days are behind me.

I love trokar hooks . Caught my personal best , a 5.52 pounder a few weeks ago so I simply want a hat with the hook that I used to catch him. You assume I believe my fishing skills would improve with a hat ? I came here for help, not unnecessary criticism . Thanks for your “help.” If you don’t know the answer , simply do not reply .
