fluna Posted February 25, 2019 Posted February 25, 2019 I picked up a St. Croix Premier MF casting rod super cheap (used but like new). Would this be an ok rod for shallow crankbaits? Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted February 25, 2019 Super User Posted February 25, 2019 I use a M/F rod for all my crank/jerkbaits. It all depends on the weight yours are - all my crankbaits are 1/2oz or less, so that might make a difference. 1 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 25, 2019 Global Moderator Posted February 25, 2019 The 7' M/F Premier was the first St.Croix I ever bought almost 2 decades ago (still have the rod even). It's a great all around rod. I've used it for shallow cranks and while it isn't ideal, it will do it. 1 Quote
