I picked up a St. Croix Premier MF casting rod super cheap (used but like new). Would this be an ok rod for shallow crankbaits?

I use a M/F rod for all my crank/jerkbaits. It all depends on the weight yours are - all my crankbaits are 1/2oz or less, so that might make a difference.

The 7' M/F Premier was the first St.Croix I ever bought almost 2 decades ago (still have the rod even). It's a great all around rod. I've used it for shallow cranks and while it isn't ideal, it will do it.
