Hi,

i always found this forum to be the best help so here it goes.

I purchase a garmin live scope bundle with a 95SV unit. Evey thing works well awesome tech but i noticed one thing.

When in Live scope forward view (when used on the ice) i see a lot of interference between the 0 and 5-10ft mark. Its not your typical interference but big arches that start at the bottom and arc forward and 3 distinct ones every time i use the forward view and at the the bottom where they start it is always cluttered and hard to see

i play with the Gain and it does go away but then it would have to decrease it to a point where i cant even see fish. anyone have the same issues?

Note; you see it less with different screen colors like amber but it is still there.

Thanks,

There is an active "Garmin issues/interpretation" page on another forum. Maybe you can try asking them. I've found that for fishing related stuff here is best but for bass boat related stuff there is more info available there.  You might get an answer there faster as more guys on that forum seem to be running livescope.

Well I know it’s been a while but I’ll give it a shot anyway. I’m having the exact same problem. It’s like there is a void when I have the bottom set between 15’-20’ and distance between 30’-40’. The void is a ball shape from boat out to about 10’ and 8’ down to bottom. It’s like anything that goes in the void almost disappears. I can swim a 1/8oz jig from 30’ out and run it at 12’ deep and I’ll be able to see it good all the way until it gets around 10’ from boat then it just blurrs until it gets directly below the boat. Any help would be apprecheated. I’ll take some screen shots and video this weekend. The arc shapes icemonkey described are identical to mine.

Thanks for the vid it helped a bit but i guess that's all we have to work with. Spoke with a garmin rep and basically said you have to play with the settings too

one thing i noticed is that if you take the forward view only out to 10ft range and adjust the settings it looks good but whats the point in only looking out 10 ft lol

I finally got my Livescope installed and out on the water and didn't have that interference. I'm running tvg on low or medium and noise/interference reduction on medium. Adjust color gain as needed to see your lure. I was amazed by the technology. It's eye opening to see how many fish come after your baits and peel off! ?
