pauldconyers Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 Looking at options for spinnerbait storage. Holds 39 spinnerbaits and that would be adequate for me. The main thing I am curious about is it looks like you have to really squeeze the "V" of the wire in to a much more narrow degree and I was curious if after sitting in there at that position for a long time if that would weaken the bait or ruin its action or its ability to go back to the original angle. Also I guess only someone that owns this could answer this but if you had all the slots full would you be able to get a certain one out without having to take 5 out to get it that particular one? Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 18, 2019 Global Moderator Posted February 18, 2019 I had the Falcon version. It's a good spinnerbait box and it doesn't effect the wire strength/durability at all that I could tell. It was easy to take one out without removing another. Quote
pauldconyers Posted February 18, 2019 Author Posted February 18, 2019 https://www.flambeauoutdoors.com/big-mouth-spinnerbait-box-w/-zerust-reg.aspx Checking out this one too. While a bit larger it does hold 60 of them and leaves them in more of their natural "state". Quote
BigAngus752 Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 Yup, I have this exact one. Works just fine. You are correct that it tends to run a tad tight for larger spinners but nothing troublesome. I can tell you, however. that the ad photo you've posted definitely had someone paid to use a comb on the skirts! LOL My box looks like it's full of chartruese and white hairballs. 1 Quote
Derek1 Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 I use a 50 cent photo album from Walmart. A old cd case would work as well. Just leave them out to dry before they go back. Holds allot of them and takes up very little space. Fits in the small side pocket of my back pack. 3 Quote
Tizi Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 I have the 3600 version of the plano. It works very well. Never had an issue with my spinnerbaits in this box. Holds about 18. I cycle the baits I will be using that day to this box from a much larger box I have. Quote
pauldconyers Posted February 19, 2019 Author Posted February 19, 2019 Regarding that one that is the size of a 3700 I like the uniform size of it but again I would be fearful of it being super hard to get one particular one out without having to take like three out. Or that having it pinched or held in a certain position or angle that could damage or alter its normal retrieve. Quote
Super User MIbassyaker Posted February 19, 2019 Super User Posted February 19, 2019 I have a couple of the ones with 2 spinnerbait racks and 1 buzzbait rack. Here's one: Actually, they're pretty good storage boxes, and can be filed/stacked alongside any other 3700 box. You have to be a little careful taking baits out of a full box, but for storage at least it works really well. And it doesn't bend the wires enough to deform them -- they spring back to shape immediately when taken out. Quote
LxVE Bassin Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 I got the 3700 Plano box and I put jigs, spinnerbaits, and Chatterbaits in it. I like and recommend it. Quote

Jigs and chatterbaits you can slide the head into the same vertical slot the spinnerbait head goes in. Buzzbaits require a different kind of rack, but the 3707 box comes in two versions: one with 3 spinnerbait racks, and one with 2 spinnerbait racks and a buzzbait rack. Quote

tim_kovar Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 I use that same one. Really like it because its the same size as my other boxes. Some brand spinnerbaits do fit better than others. I keep my chatterbaits and buzzbaits in it too. The buzzbaits i had to sit a little bit to the side in order for them to fit well. Quote
Allen Der Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 I wasnt a fan. now I have a cabela's binder that is the same size as a plano box and fits in my tackle bag Quote
