Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted October 19, 2019 Global Moderator Posted October 19, 2019 Mahomes likely out until their bye week (week 12). If they can find a way to win 2 more before then, which they could with the Titans, Raiders, and Chargers all in that stretch, they'll likely still be in 1st for the division with the Raiders going through a rough part of their schedule. I just hope they don't rush him back and hurt him so he's never the same ALA RG3. If he needs to be shut down, shut him down and let him get right for next season. He's only 24 and can have a long career if they don't get him seriously hurt. If he's good to go, then he'll be fully healed and maybe a blessing in disguise as he comes back for the playoffs healthy and ready to go. They need the defense to play with the same fire they were last night, that was a complete 180 from the rest of the season. #Newdefensewhodis 1 Quote

Green Bay just wasn't prepared to play and their coach admitted that they were sleeping walking through most of it. New England hadn't played anyone remotely decent except Buffalo (which they won 13-7) this year. Heck, the only 2 touchdowns they got were because of fumbles by Baltimore in their own end. Quote

Pat's lose a game like this every year, sometimes a couple. It helps them right the ship and refocus. They did play poorly, but I think they didnt want to open the playbook to a team they'll play in january. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted November 6, 2019 Global Moderator Posted November 6, 2019 The Pats lost to a good team, nothing wrong with that. The Raiders aren't a bad team either, and the Packers played them poorly. Why are the Dolphins trying so hard these past couple weeks? They can't even tank right. It's been nice watching the Chief's defense actually contributing the last 2.5 games. If Rogers doesn't do what he sometimes does last week with those 2 insane completions, they might be 3-0 during this stretch they've been without Mahomes. I was shocked they held Dalvin Cook to under 100 yards rushing and Diggs to 1 catch for 4 yards. I hope it's a trend and not just them getting lucky. They even lost the turnover battle to the Vikings and still managed to win the game with a high school football coach as their QB. Quote

OCdockskipper Posted November 18, 2019 Posted November 18, 2019 The Niners may need that 9-1 start, the last 6 games on their schedule look to be really tough. Atlanta was looking to be the patsy game, but that team has suddenly found themselves the last 2 weeks and may be reverting to their form of a few years back. Here is a prediction for you. If the Rams find the tweaks they need to really get their running game going and run the table to end the season (meaning they beat both the Niners and Seahawks), they will win their division at 12-4 and the loser of the Niners/Seahawks final game of the season will not make the playoffs at 11-5 or 10-6. Then again, the Rams could flounder around and end up at 9-7, who knows ? Quote

Super User J._Bricker Posted November 18, 2019 Super User Posted November 18, 2019 I have to agree OC, the upcoming schedule for the Niners is really going to be tough. I’d like to believe Green Bay won’t load the box to stop the run, and if they do it’ll be a shoot-out which is probably why the game was moved to the premier Sunday night slot. The two road games in Baltimore and NOLA are going to be especially tough. Lamar Jackson is a dynamic quarterback and IMHO having an MVP season. Brees is back to pre-injury form, playing in the dome is tough, and the Niners won’t have three guys from Cali to miss a crucial call in crunch time so it should be fun. Next up for the Niners after that are home games against the Falcons and your LA Rams. I’ll take the home field advantage, and I’m not sure the Rams will have their offensive line play back to last season’s form to get them into the playoffs. The Niners and ‘Hawks without question should be another very good, hard fought game to decide division... 1 Quote

That said, the Pat's actually look beatable especially if they have to travel to Baltimore. Defense great-offense lacking. 1 Quote
