Maybe after his release, AB notified his agent to contact the Patriots knowing that Patriots were interested in trading for him...Just saying. nobody knows or probably will ever know the truth but it is odd that within hours of release a deal was done. 1 Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted September 15, 2019 Super User Posted September 15, 2019 New England shut out Miami 43-0. AB looked decent with a first quarter TD. The Dolphins had a pretty tough day. A-Jay Quote

Super User Darren. Posted September 15, 2019 Super User Posted September 15, 2019 Let's go Bills!! Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted September 16, 2019 Global Moderator Posted September 16, 2019 Chiefs scared me in the first quarter, then Mahomes did what he does, 4 TDs and 400+ yards later and they're 2-0. Defense isn't great but looks much better than last year. Oakland never scored again after the first quarter. 1 Quote
Super User Bird Posted September 16, 2019 Super User Posted September 16, 2019 Dolphins looking good........on the #1 draft pick. 1 Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted September 16, 2019 Super User Posted September 16, 2019 Cowboys offense looking very strong, albeit against 2 not very good teams. Dolphins next week and then it starts to get a little tougher. The defense needs to step it up a notch. 1 Quote
OCdockskipper Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 The Saints were victims of a bad call again today, a fumble by Rams QB Goff that was scooped up & run back 90 yards, but had whistled dead and called an incomplete pass. The Saints challenged and won possession, but didn't get the run back. Hopefully it is some consolation to Saints fans that the call in & of itself did not determine the outcome of the game (Rams won by 18). The officiating was heavy all game, there were a lot of offensive holding calls, but that may be because both teams have good pass rushers who end up getting held often. The Rams had a touchdown called back on a block in the back call, which could have just as easily been interpreted as the defender turning his back on the blocker. Again, the side benefit of the game not being close is that inconsistent officiating didn't give the impression that it determined the winner. Tougher for the Saints is the injury to Drew Brees. He smacked his hand against the outstretched palm of Aaron Donald after throwing a pass and either broke or did some type of major sprain to his thumb. Knowing how competitive Brees is, I expect him to start learning how to throw the ball left handed in order to be ready next week. Quote

Super User Bird Posted September 16, 2019 Super User Posted September 16, 2019 I still think if Brees isn't sidelined too long to avoid to many road playoff games then the Saints are as dangerous as any in the NFC.......Packers and Rams of course and I have Philly winning the east. Patriots, Ravens and Chiefs are the elite in the AFC......the highly regarded Browns looked absolutely terrible. This is what I see early on. Lol Quote

Super User jbsoonerfan Posted September 22, 2019 Super User Posted September 22, 2019 The NFL National Flag League. This is terrible to watch. Some of the worst officiating in the world. No consistency at all. Not even from one play to the next, much less from one game to the next. Just play flag football and call it good. Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted September 23, 2019 Global Moderator Posted September 23, 2019 Lions are still undefeated! I think I’ll head to Detroit this weekend and save myself a spot along the Super Bowl parade route. ? A boy can dream can’t he? 1 Quote
Super User J Francho Posted September 23, 2019 Super User Posted September 23, 2019 I am actually hoping for a Patriots win (I know, what is wrong with me) next week. Bills fans are insufferable as it is. 3-0 ain't making it any easier. 2 Quote

Even Tom Brady (who gets a lot of ticky tack calls ) said he turned off the Thursday night game because of too many penalties. I also found it funny that Tom Brady was sitting around watching Thursday night football, I would have been in a limo with my supermodel wife..... Quote

A-Jay I saw on the news last night he signed up for on line classes at Central Michigan, (where he played) four days before he was released. Must be even he saw the writing on the wall! ? 1 Quote

Super User A-Jay Posted September 27, 2019 Super User Posted September 27, 2019 New helmets didn't seem to help much tonight. Several players took solid shots to the melon and didn't fair well. A-Jay Quote
Super User gim Posted October 2, 2019 Super User Posted October 2, 2019 A quarter of the way through the season it is very obvious that the two best teams in the AFC are the same two teams that met in the AFC Championship last season: the Patriots and Chiefs. In the NFC, the only unbeaten team is San Fran and then there are bunch of teams at 3-1 (GB, Dallas, Chi, NO, LA Rams, Seattle). So although the AFC has the top two teams in the league, the NFC clearly has more depth so far. Quote
