I live in the triangle area and are weather has stunk this winter. I just started to see larger fish in the shallows with the last warm up we had. Shallow running crankbaits are getting it done. Hope everyone has a great season and enjoys there time on the water.

I just recently moved up here from Florida, no boat yet.  Eventually if I get one, I'd love to get on Harris and Jordan.

Any advice on fishing the Triangle area from shore?  Seems to be a lot of parks that border water in this area so no shortage of places for me to try, and the eno river looks like a cool place to try as well once it warms up enough to wade.

Bass fishing in the rivers is very good and most you can wade. Small ponds golf course, farm pond etc are very good areas. Jordan and falls have shore fishing access.Lots of good kayak or canoe access to in most ares. NC DNR has a lot of good info. Good luck with your fishing and hope you come to like your new area.

Falls is a good lake if you have the chance. go fish around the "Beaver dam" area on foot just walk the bays and such. throw a 1.5 in chartreuse sexy shad or a white chatterbait with a chartreuse trailer. Harris is warming up slowly but surely the water is muddy which has made it tough. Jordan well it has pigs in it but i cant find them thats for sure.

Your best bet is Falls if your on shore or in a boat. theyre not spawning yet that wont be for about a month or so, however you can find them in the mouths of pockets and off of points.

Great to hear weathering is finally shaping up a bit. Work has kept me busy 7 days a week that needs to stop. Thanks for the report.
