Big Swimbait Posted February 13, 2019 Posted February 13, 2019 Anybody have a source? Google was zero help. Maybe they're called something else? Thanks! 1 Quote
BassNJake Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 I thought they just used a swivel with the top half embedded into the lure Quote

I have seen some saltwater swimbaits where the swivel part was embedded in lead. I assume that was made that way to provide ballast also. I just like the idea for swimbaits and am looking for options. Thanks for the response! 1 Quote
Super User Munkin Posted February 15, 2019 Super User Posted February 15, 2019 They made treble hooks that rotated but I have not seen hook hangers that did. Allen 2 Quote
FCPhil Posted February 16, 2019 Posted February 16, 2019 Sounds tricky to secure in a wood bait...maybe put the swivel on the end of a cotter pin and countersink the swivel. Quote

KDW96 Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 Ya,it was all i could come up with : ). Now i have had very good results by eliminating the split ring altogether. Buy using heavy braid tied hook in lieu of split ring. multipul wraps on the bait, and hook along with good knots. Ive caught many fish up to 6.5pd this way,and never had an issue, yet. The hook will rotate, and free swinging. 1 Quote
