Sluggo61 Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 I was just wondering how many colors crayfish in pennsylvania come in. I was also wondering what colors any of you guys use while fishing a crayfish presentation? Thanks in advance. Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted February 11, 2019 Super User Posted February 11, 2019 Quick google search and I found this. Full size image Here - http://media.pennlive.com/wildaboutpa/photo/cropped-crayfishjpg-0e6b4cbe84c13805.jpg Quote
Sluggo61 Posted February 11, 2019 Author Posted February 11, 2019 Thank you so much. I'm looking at using more crayfish presentations this year and looking for advice and tips. I know northern crayfish are different that southern crayfish , but that's the extent of my knowledge so far. Quote
Super User Gundog Posted February 11, 2019 Super User Posted February 11, 2019 Notice on the chart that there are color changes on crawfish. They are not one color. I've caught hundreds of crawfish and can tell you there is no exact color that matches the different colors found on a crawfish. Personally I think "matching the hatch" when it comes to bass fishing is highly overrated. I believe presentation and knowing where to fish is more important. Quote
Super User fishballer06 Posted February 11, 2019 Super User Posted February 11, 2019 I'm a firm believer in our lord and savior, Green Pumpkin. And if that doesn't work, his two disciples never let me down (black/blue and watermelon). 1 Quote
WVU-SCPA Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 In 2018 many bass fell to the Rage Craw in Bama craw. In reality, I believe the color rarely was the reason any of those fish bit. Location, presentation, and location were the main factors. Did I mention location? Quote
