IneedAnewScreenName9886691 Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Just bought a new Champion! '98 203 and I am stoked! She is turn key with a rude 200. Here are a couple quick pics! I am stoked! Only bad part is my old boat has to go! She will be listed on Ebay starting tomorrow at 7:00 pm. I also posted a couple 'early bird' pics on this sites classifieds! Happy Releasing! H.G. Quote

Super User Jimzee Posted April 16, 2008 Super User Posted April 16, 2008 Very nice and very clean looking boat. Good choice!! Quote
XcoM274 Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 I've been looking into Champions a little myself. From what I gather I see they are a pretty high quality piece. As an owner what can you tell? Quote
Super User Catt Posted April 16, 2008 Super User Posted April 16, 2008 Yea buddy that's what I'm talking about right there Quote
IneedAnewScreenName9886691 Posted April 16, 2008 Author Posted April 16, 2008 Xco - THEY ROCK! Take a look at the one I am selling. That boat is almost 20 years old! Fit and finish is second to none and the ride...well lets just say the wind shouldn't keep you on the ramp. I considered others - have had others - but I prefer Champion. Ride and decide....you won't be sorry! Happy Releasing, H.G. Quote
Popeye Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Congrats on the new Champion, HG!!! I really wanted to get one but I figured I'd have trouble getting it all into 1/2 of my garage. Maybe after I sell my HemiBee, I'll look into a bigger boat. There are a LOT of guys who fish Otay who have Champions. I'd say 1 out of every 4 boats that I see launch there are Champions. Quote
Super User cart7t Posted April 16, 2008 Super User Posted April 16, 2008 Another good color combo. White caps are less likely to suffer gelfade. Enjoy! 8-) Quote
sodaksker Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Hydrilla, Did you buy that off the ABA site? I think I saw that boat, and thought it looked like a good deal. Quote
IneedAnewScreenName9886691 Posted April 16, 2008 Author Posted April 16, 2008 Sodak - No, my buddy who fishes a bunch of ABA sent me the info. I would bet it was on there. The guy is deep in ABA tourneys. He is buying his new boat - 2008 Triton from the owner of ABA. He has gone to the dark side. He wanted a clause that if he did't like his Triton he could buy it back ;D NO DEAL Picking her up tonight. She is all cleaned out and all the stickers have been removed! Quote
sodaksker Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 That is what made me remember it. He had a quote saying that he would take all the stickers off before pick up....Anyway, great boat!!and enjoy. Quote
Al Wolbach Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 I have a 98 Champion 203dcx with a 225 Yamaha that I purchased new. I believe you will be very pleased with your purchase. My wife told me I could buy a new boat a while back but I really don't want to part with my 203. They are a little narrower than the newer models but they drive and handle better. I took a dealers 206 out for a days fishing. It fished a little better because it is wider but my 203 drives and rides a little better, IMO. I don't believe there is a better riding bassboat........Good luck with yours.......................Al Quote
IneedAnewScreenName9886691 Posted April 17, 2008 Author Posted April 17, 2008 AWESOME AL! I loved my 184 DC but wanted a little longer vessel! Heard nothing but great things about this model! Can't wait to show some Bass who is boss soon! Happy Releasing, H.G. Quote
XcoM274 Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Drop me a line to the one you're selling gorilla. Quote
