I didn't customize my boat myself. Had a custom river boat guy do it.

Here is the way it came.

And this is the way it came out. Before I added a trolling motor, seats, and depth finders.

The only pic I could quickly find of my G3 1652 custom build.  Had some minor changes made the last few years -- most notably replacing the cloth hatch straps with latches.

Minn Kota 80 lb Maxxum and Humminbird 898 up front, 2x Minn Kota 80 lb transom motors in the back.  Plenty of storage including 6 batteries and a rod locker.  I love this rig!

These days, the trend is to create as much storage on these custom builds as possible. I went in the opposite direction. After owning a glass boat for over 30 years, I find my storage compartments filling up with a lot of junk I seldom use. And, no matter how well you build them, water seems to find a way in, never finds its way out. Once it does, everything in the box gets mildew and mold. I’m also running a river jet and weight is a big consideration. The added structure plus the weight of the stuff inside just is more than I wanted. I also appreciate the added floor space for moving around.
