I know it’s ideal to use an injector and all but I’m on a tight budget. I bought this mold and the area you pour into looks big enough for me to be able to just hand pour it in. What do you guys think? Will I need an injector?

The only soft plastic mold I did not have to use an injector to fill were hand pour molds. like this one.

If you get the plastic to pour into your mold, more than likely it will not fill the claws and legs.

Yes it does. I have several of those molds and they do have a wide opening that looks like you could just pour the plastic in the top, but other than the stick worm mold I have, it doesn't work without an injector.

I don't think you will be able to get the tail section without pressure which means an injector.  It won't hurt anything to try a couple of pours if you have the material.

I have a replica Menace mold and tried a few times to just pour straight from the measuring cup and the tail was always the part that didn't turn out right. I imagine it would be the same for this one.

Would a grill injector work?

Not sure what that is but I would just go ahead and buy a real soft plastic injector. Take it from someone who poured 4oz of 350 degree plastic over their fingers, safety is important. I would be worried about it leaking or exploding sending hot plastic everywhere.

I'm pretty sure I have a small injector at home I'll likely never use I could get you for cheap. It will do a single lure mold fine as long as it's not an overly large bait. I'm assuming that's a regular size Rage bug mold, which it should handle fine. I believe it's the 45 ml one from Bugmolds.
