Put me in the group that cut off cable. $120 for 98%of channels I don't watch.  No thanks. 

 

Today I came across My Outdoor Tv. It's awesome! Tons and tons of fishing,  hunting,  outdoor shows. Basically the only things I want to watch. It's basically an app you download and it costs like 10 bucks a month. I use it on a amazon fire stick but you can use it on a lot of other platforms. 

 

Well worth it to me! Wish I came across it years ago, but glad I did!

I have google fiber. pay $200.00  month for high speed internet, home phone, 4 tv's with sports and starz package.

I watch the outdoor and sportsmans channel occasionally, but they can get boring in a hurry. Watch AHC, Science, and the NGC channels more.

MY wife is disabled and likes the movie channels. looked at all the streaming providers, but none of them have the channels I want. Probably will not be cutting the cord anytime soon.

Between netflix and now having My outdoor tv, we have everything we need or want for roughly 25 bucks a month.

I can’t cut the cord. I am a TV junkie. I have cable and streaming services like Hulu and Netflix. I pay an obscene amount of money for all that.

 

It goes under the “entertainment” part of my budget, which includes movies and dining out.

Still thinking about cutting the cable. Got to find a way I can still get the programs I want. I was watching amazon prime video and really like it. Problem is my cable and internet are bundled so there are "savings". At one time I had cable, internet and a landline bundled and when I cut out my landline the package price didn't go down very much.

I got rid of cable almost a year ago. Yes I have gone old school and using these things called antennas on my tvs. Don't have a lot of channels but i'm not paying for 200 channels I don't want. We had Spectrum cable and they are terrible. Have a new company in town just getting started to compete with them. Company is Metronet but I don't know anything about them yet as to how good there service is.

I imagine you still have to pay for internet.

I have not watched tv in years and do not care for it. I prefer watching YouTube videos and reading online.

Yes,  sorry you are correct.  Believe it's roughly 65 for internet,  so we spend 90 a month for our "entertainment"

I cut the cable years ago.  I have a Tivo OTA DVR and an antenna in the attic.  What many people don't realize is that each TV broadcaster in your area has three to five stations.  Some are just local weather 24/7,  others play old movies and old TV shows.  I think I get around 20 channels over the air.  I never watch most of them just like with cable.  During football season,  I subscribe to a service that gives me all of the ESPN channels over the internet.  I've used SlingTV for the last couple of years.  There are other options that give you this as well.  I'm hoping ESPN will launch their own service before next fall.

Can't remember exactly when we cut our cable, but it's been about a decade. Have an antenna for the HD-TV but never use it. Internet and Netflix-Discs combined with our own DVD/Blu-Ray library are our sole entertainment.

I've had Direct TV for years but a few months ago I became fed up with their high prices. I called them and told them I was going to cancel and get PlayStation Vue streaming instead. DTV then cut my bill to $59 a month and gave me free HBO for a year. Not that I watch HBO. I caught up on Game of Thrones and may have watched a handful of movies.

 

My options for TV are kind of limited because the most important channel in our household is the MLB Network. Even when my son was little, while most kids would get up and watch cartoons in the morning he'd be watching the MLB Network.

I haven't had cable television for about 5 years now.  I just get my internet through WOW and pay $70 per month for their 500/50 service.  I watch most stuff through Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, or an OTA antenna.
