Super User roadwarrior Posted January 29, 2019 Super User Posted January 29, 2019 Burr... 35* high for today, only 27* tomorrow and 17* for the overnight low. We recover to the mid 40s on Thursday, but that is still too cold for us Southern boys to get out. 1 Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted January 29, 2019 BassResource.com Administrator Posted January 29, 2019 Going to be 55 and sunny today in my area - another warm and dry day! The ONLY reason I mention it, is because for the last 4 winters in a row, we've had temps well below normal coupled with record rainfalls....it's been sheer misery. This year offers a break from that trend, with above normal temps and below normal rain. It's been a fantastic "winter"! Quote
Super User J Francho Posted January 29, 2019 Super User Posted January 29, 2019 We might go as low as -5 Thursday. Quote
Super User NYWayfarer Posted January 29, 2019 Super User Posted January 29, 2019 Snowing here right now. 10-16” before it ends at 4am then comes the cold. -5 degree low for tomorrow Quote
Super User J Francho Posted January 29, 2019 Super User Posted January 29, 2019 I don't think we're getting any measurable snowfall. Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted January 29, 2019 Super User Posted January 29, 2019 School districts in MN have closed school for today and tomorrow due to hazardous wind chills. I went out to do laundry and the laundromat was closed as well. Quite a few businesses here have closed due to the extreme cold. Current temp is -7, current wind chill is -28...and this is about the warmest part of the day. Quote

Russ E Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 supposed to be -1 in KC tonight. That is just ridiculous. fortunately by Friday it is supposed to get up to 49. If the local power plant lake is not frozen over, Friday will be the first fishing trip in three weeks.? Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted January 29, 2019 Super User Posted January 29, 2019 Tonight's low is expected to be -3, and the high tomorrow will be 8. Sunday the temp is expected to be close to 60. Quote

Super User Gundog Posted January 30, 2019 Super User Posted January 30, 2019 We are going to get a few days of really cold weather but that isn't what is bothering me. The end of this week and the first half of next week is suppose to be above average high temps (40 to 50 degrees) with rain. That means melting snow and then at night it freezes. That worries me more than anything. 1 Quote

Super User Koz Posted January 31, 2019 Super User Posted January 31, 2019 Temperatures in my part of SC have been in the 20's and 30's at night and mid 40's during the day. I grew up in the north and back then this would have been considered a warm winter. But after so many years down here it just feels cold. It's not too bad when it's calm, but being just a few miles from the ocean it does get windy here and then it feels a lot colder. That makes it kind of miserable when I need to be outside doing stormwater inspections. The good news is that daytime temps are supposed to be in the low 60's to low 70's for the next week. The bad news is that it will be cloudy and rainy so the waters won't do much warming up. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted March 3, 2019 Author Super User Posted March 3, 2019 The weather has been spring-like with tons of rain for the past several weeks. Early flowers are in bloom, trees are budding and the birds are flirting. However, tonight and for the next three days we dip back into the teens. I sure hope this is the last of winter. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 4, 2019 Global Moderator Posted March 4, 2019 -4 here tonight. Windchill -12 and it snowed a few inches yesterday with winds whipping 25mph blowing snow everywhere. The next 2 days are the last 2 days in the forecast below 40 and only 4 more days this month forecast below 50. I can see light at the end of the tunnel ? Quote
Super User Oregon Native Posted March 4, 2019 Super User Posted March 4, 2019 We are going to have a week of cold weather now and the tree's just started budding.....wow. It's to bad all our water now is muddy....maybe end of week will take out boat. They were chomping Saturday. Quote
