Berta Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 Hey guys, I'm trying to find a part#/replacement part for my Exsence DC. I need to replace the worm gear and I'm having a hard time finding a part. If anyone could help that would be great! Quote
FrankN209 Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 What year reel? What part number is it? Quote
The Bassman Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 I'm guessing you're talking about a D platform Exsence. I'd bet it's the same worm gear as a Core 100/101. Call Shimano at 877-577-0600. Right handed is BNT 3822, left is BNT 3876. Quote
Berta Posted January 23, 2019 Author Posted January 23, 2019 So after talking to shimano over the phone, they were not able to get me the exact part number for the excense I needed. I asked for the part numbers of the worm gears for the Core, Chronarch D and the Metanium MG (all same body types) and left me with 3 different part numbers. BNT 3822, 4010 and 4801. Not too sure where to go from here Quote
FrankN209 Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Do you know that exact model number that you have? Quote

The Bassman Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 They're probably the same parts just different #'s. Shimano is known for that. I'm assuming we're talking about a right handed reel? Just go for the BNT 3822. Also a good idea to get a new pawl (BNT 2150) when replacing a worm gear. Sight shows that as out of stock with a cross reference to part# 3723. Edit; Google Dads Ole Tackle. They've got what you need. I've used them before. Best of luck. 1 Quote

Great shop, I've purchased quite a few parts from them the last few years. They seem to have just about everything. 1 Quote
