dam0007 Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 Sunline FX2 has been good for me flippin and froggin. I like SX1 in smaller tests on spinning tackle. I’ve tried 832 and Max Cuatro last year both were good as well. Didnt care for the new Fireline. Way stiffer and waxier than anything I’ve used. Didn’t manage well on a spinning reel. Quote
redmeansdistortion Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 I like 832 on my spinning reels and PP on my baitcasters. Quote
deadadrift89 Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 PowerPro original for flipping/pitching cover has always done well for me. PowerPro Slick8 only used it on spinning but its been great for easier casting FWIW. Couldn't stand SpiderWire braid. Quote
Super User Boomstick Posted January 19, 2019 Super User Posted January 19, 2019 I usually go with Daiwa's J-Braid x8 because it's solid, quiet on the guides and cost efficient however I would be inclined to try their new J-Braid Grand which is supposed to be more abrasion resistant. The other line I would look at it Power Pro Maxquatro because the 65lb line the same diameter as most braid closer to I believe 50lbs. Quote
BlackwaterPark10 Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 I’ve been using Fitzgerald braid and been happy Quote

Super User QUAKEnSHAKE Posted January 21, 2019 Super User Posted January 21, 2019 Super 8 Slick had been my favorite for some time but its been dethroned by YGK G-soul x8. This might not last long going to try S8S v2. Least favorite Kanzen. Most overrated smackdown. Surprize performer Trilene Pro. Quote
