This was handy to know for spare parts purposes. Fenwick is no longer made domestically the rods are made off shore by the same source who supplies the house brands. The rods and reels are basically throwaway or disposable products, no spare parts inventory anywhere. Tom I agree with you for the most part but doesn't BPS have a parts house? Or they used to at least. I know many of their reels were made in the same Korean factories (Doyo) as Abu Garcia, Pflueger and Lews. I know many of the parts are/were interchangeable. I've never owned any house brand stuff though so I'm not completely sure. Quote

Doyo did produce some of the BPS reels. 4 hours ago, Sam said: And did you know that Seaguar makes the BPS line? Seaguar makes BPS floro line. Their mono lines are made by Berkley. 1 1 Quote

Yep, everything We purchased is identified where it came from, our vegetables are grown locally. If it's grown in Mexico or made in China, it doesn't come home. We have source of origin and content label laws. Tom 1 Quote

Super User Catt Posted January 16, 2019 Super User Posted January 16, 2019 Some of Academy's rods were at one time made by American Rod Smith, All Star, or CastAway. All quality rod manufacturers ? 2 Quote
MinnowzNuttin Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 I've liked the Cabela's ZX rods and the BPS titanium 8 rods. Unfortunately both are discontinued. Quote

Kagin guides and Fuji reel seats. Very few rod blanks made in the USA anymore. It's all knowledgeable customer service and warranty. It's close to our pre spawn bite, so need to get out on the water soon! Think I rattled enough snowbird cages on this topic. Peace, Tom Quote

He probably wouldn't have understood it if I did tell him. Quote
