Haven't fished it in several years however, that's why I didn't list it. Great lake! I drive by that Bull Run Creek area everyday on my way to work. It looks great and several times a year the gulls will be smashing the baitfish near the bridges. I've seen them up by the railroad bridge and also down by the narrow bridge by the park. Quote

We used to dive off of the bridge at the park. Couldn't pay me to do it now. 1 Quote
Super User Oregon Native Posted January 29, 2019 Super User Posted January 29, 2019 We moved to E Tennessee to be with grandkids from Oregon....so glad our kids picked Knoxville. 1 Quote
TomSawyee Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 I'm just east of Nashville too. Near Gallatin. I don't have a boat so I mostly bank fish, but that doesn't go well I'm the winter. 1 Quote
StrokerFishing Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 I'm in Mascot, far east side of Knoxville, I grow up in West Knoxville and mostly fish, Ft Loudon, Melton Hill, Holston and French Broad rivers. 1 Quote

I loooove fishing through mascot . We used to drop canoes in at Clift Rd and float to Asheville highway before there was a ramp at the bridge. Tough drag up that hill! I used to launch my shallow boat there but broke a trailer wheel. Quote
smr913 Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 I'm in west Nashville and in the warmer months can be found almost daily on the Harpeth River. I sometimes go down to Tims Ford, but I am not quite as comfortable fishing from a kayak on a lake as I am a river. One of these days I'll pick up a used bass boat and get out on some new water. You were a brave laddie....... Either brave, or extremely stupid. While I was away in the Army, one if my close childhood friends dove off of that stupid bridge, got caught up in barbed wire fence and drown. None of us ever knew that fencing was down there, of coarse none of us ever "dove in" head first. We usually just jumped. 1 Quote

Josh Gann Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 Live in Jefferson city , 5 minutes from Cherokee an 15 minutes from Douglas. 35 minutes from ft Loudon but I'd rather take a beating as to fish that lake to be honest. It's hard for me to not go to Cherokee with it so close, but trying to hit some new water this year . May check out south holston, an of course would love to hit chic. We're definitely blessed with great bassin in the volunteer State GBO 2 Quote
Big Mike in Fl Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 Does anyone fish Boone lake? My inlaws live in Jonesboro right around the corner from there, and I’ll be visiting in July. Looking for any info/pointers. I’ll probably be shorebound, I drove by the dam and along the area near the tricities airport, looked like a few small places to stop at. Just curious what my best bets might be for that area? Quote

I’ve never fished it but the dam is leaking so they have it waaaaaaay down. This will work to your advantage as a bank fisherman, you could be able to walk around most of where the lake used to be and cast. There are a lot of largemouth, smallmouth, hybrid, and stripers in Boone, also some monstrous brown trout Quote

Any suggestions on gear to bring and throw for that time of year in that area? Senkos worms and jigs? Quote
RealtreeByGod Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Fished Chickamauga last week for about 15 hours over 4 days, picked apart 3 different coves and about a hundred yards worth of main-lake shoreline with a wacky rigged senko and a t-rigged lizard, and didn't catch dick for largemouth. Managed to get a handful of keeper crappies, a bunch of bluegill, a few dink catfish, and a spot though. Also had a big blue cat snap 20lb braid while landing, which was fun. Quote
Nick B Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Hey, I live in Sparta, fish Center Hill a lot. Fished Dale Hollow and Great Falls. I am going to start club fishing this year. Cordell Hull is on the schedule. Any one have any info on Cordell Hull? Quote

BoatSquirrel Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 I fish the Cumberland through Nashville but never Cordell. Be mindful of water generation as TVA absolutely rips the current on that river. Its unfishable 6 months out of the year the current is so strong. Pulling 33K CFS this evening. Thats nearly whitewater. Quote

rodandreel2010 Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 I'm up in the east TN corner. Johnson City. I fish mainly south holston river, lake, watauga river, lake, boone, Cherokee, and douglas. Hoping to hit the pigeon a few times this year to try it out. I fish from a yak the majority of the time. If anyone would want to tag along some time just let me know! Quote
